Affiliate Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your participation in the PreppingStick affiliate program. Last updated: April 2026.

1

Program Overview

The PreppingStick Affiliate Program ("Program") is open to individuals and businesses worldwide. By participating, you ("Affiliate") agree to promote PreppingStick products in exchange for referral commissions as described in these terms.

The Program is operated by PreppingStick ("Company," "we," "us"). Participation is subject to approval and ongoing compliance with these terms.

2

Commission Structure

Affiliates earn a flat commission of $20 USD per referred sale, regardless of which product tier the customer purchases:

  • PreppingStick Core — $229 USD
  • PreppingStick Pro — $399 USD
  • PreppingStick Max — $449 USD

There is no monthly or annual cap on the number of commissions you can earn. Commission rates may be adjusted with 30 days written notice.

3

Cookie Duration & Attribution

When a potential customer clicks your unique affiliate link, a tracking cookie is placed on their browser for 90 days. If the customer completes a purchase within that 90-day window, you receive credit for the sale.

We use a first-click attribution model. This means the affiliate whose link the customer clicked first receives credit for the sale, even if the customer later clicks another affiliate's link before purchasing.

4

Payouts

Commissions are paid on a Net-30 schedule. This means commissions earned in a given month are confirmed and paid approximately 30 days after the end of that month, allowing for the refund window to close.

The minimum payout threshold is $50 USD. If your confirmed balance is below this threshold, it rolls over to the next payment cycle.

Available payment methods:

  • PayPal — payments sent in USD
  • Wise (formerly TransferWise) — payments sent in USD, converted at Wise market rate

You are responsible for providing accurate payment details. PreppingStick is not liable for payments sent to incorrect accounts due to inaccurate information provided by the Affiliate.

5

Refund Clawback

If a customer you referred requests and receives a refund within 30 days of their purchase, the associated commission will be reversed ("clawed back") from your account.

If the commission has already been paid out, the clawback amount will be deducted from your next pending payout. If no future commissions are earned, PreppingStick reserves the right to request repayment of the clawed-back amount.

6

Approval & Acceptance

All affiliate applications are subject to manual review. PreppingStick reserves the sole right to accept, reject, or terminate any affiliate at any time, for any reason, without obligation to disclose the basis for its decision.

Common reasons for rejection include: no established online presence, content that conflicts with PreppingStick brand values, or applications that appear fraudulent or incomplete.

7

Prohibited Promotional Methods

The following promotional methods are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid commissions:

  • Spam — unsolicited emails, SMS messages, social media messages, or any form of bulk unsolicited communication
  • Trademark bidding — bidding on "PreppingStick," "Prepping Stick," or any variations in Google Ads, Bing Ads, or other PPC platforms
  • Misleading claims — making false, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims about PreppingStick products
  • Cookie stuffing — placing affiliate cookies without genuine user interaction or intent
  • Self-referrals — purchasing through your own affiliate link or referring purchases from accounts you control
  • Coupon and deal sites — listing PreppingStick on coupon, deal, cashback, or loyalty sites without prior written approval

If you are unsure whether a promotional method is permitted, contact us at affiliates@preppingstick.com before proceeding.

8

FTC Disclosure Requirement

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, affiliates MUST clearly and conspicuously disclose their affiliate relationship with PreppingStick in any content that contains affiliate links or promotes PreppingStick products.

This disclosure must be:

  • Placed near the affiliate link or at the beginning of the content
  • Written in clear, unambiguous language
  • Visible without requiring additional clicks or scrolling

Example disclosure:

"This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you."

Failure to include proper disclosure may result in termination from the Program. PreppingStick is not responsible for any legal consequences resulting from an Affiliate's failure to comply with FTC or equivalent local regulations.

9

Intellectual Property

Upon acceptance into the Program, Affiliates are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the PreppingStick name and approved marketing assets solely for the purpose of promoting PreppingStick products.

Affiliates may not:

  • Modify, alter, or distort the PreppingStick logo or brand assets in any way
  • Make unauthorized claims on behalf of PreppingStick (e.g., partnerships, endorsements, warranties)
  • Register domain names, social media handles, or other identifiers that include "PreppingStick" or confusingly similar variations
  • Use PreppingStick assets in a manner that could damage the brand's reputation

All intellectual property rights in PreppingStick products, branding, and content remain the exclusive property of PreppingStick.

10

Tax Obligations

Affiliates are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on their affiliate earnings. PreppingStick does not withhold taxes from commission payments.

  • United States: US-based affiliates must provide a completed W-9 form at signup. PreppingStick will issue a 1099-NEC for affiliates earning $600 USD or more in a calendar year, as required by the IRS.
  • Canada: Canadian affiliates must ensure compliance with CASL (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation) when using email for promotional purposes.
  • International: Affiliates outside the US and Canada are responsible for understanding and complying with their own local tax laws and reporting requirements.

Failure to provide required tax documentation may result in delayed payouts or suspension from the Program.

11

Termination

Either party may terminate the affiliate relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without cause.

  • To terminate, Affiliates may email affiliates@preppingstick.com or deactivate their account through the affiliate dashboard.
  • PreppingStick may terminate an affiliate account immediately if a violation of these terms is detected.

Upon termination, all outstanding confirmed commissions (past the 30-day refund window) will still be paid according to the normal payout schedule. Pending (unconfirmed) commissions may be forfeited if termination is due to a terms violation.

12

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PreppingStick shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your participation in the Program, including but not limited to loss of revenue, profits, business, or data.

In no event shall PreppingStick's total aggregate liability to the Affiliate exceed the total commissions paid to the Affiliate in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

13

Indemnification

The Affiliate agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PreppingStick, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to:

  • The Affiliate's promotional activities and marketing content
  • Any breach of these terms by the Affiliate
  • Any violation of applicable laws or regulations by the Affiliate
  • Any third-party claims resulting from the Affiliate's actions or omissions
14

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Province of Quebec, Canada. Both parties agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

15

Changes to Terms

PreppingStick reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide 30 days written notice via email to all active affiliates before any changes take effect.

Continued participation in the Program after the 30-day notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may terminate your participation before the changes take effect.

It is the Affiliate's responsibility to keep their email address up to date to receive these notifications.
